However, many parts require additional processing to achieve a desired surface characteristic or property for cosmetic, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, or other purposes.     Sanding & polishing: sanding is one of the most common finish for prototyping. Sanding is very basic process to remove cutting marks , in order to get smooth surface.
